Steven Ochs
Artist Bio
Steven W. Ochs was born in 1975 in Fairview, Montana, and began his career in photography at the young age of 12. His skills developed as he took pictures of everything around him. The photomontage of Steven W. Ochs comes from experiences of a lifetime of artistic wandering. He has traveled throughout the world and immersed himself in other cultures and worldviews. He speaks Arabic, Spanish, and English fluently. He lived on a small farm for the first 18 years of his life, then joined the military where he was chosen to work for the National Security Agency. This afforded him the opportunity to travel throughout the Middle East and parts of Europe. During this time he received many awards and was sent to the CIA to receive a special award in a ceremony for his work in Saudi Arabia. Afterwards, he was sent to Iraq to translate for the United Nations Special Commission. Steven spent the next several years traveling the world seeking new people and new visions to galvanize and enhance his art. He has now returned from South America to his home in the valleys of Eastern Montana and continues to create new and exciting pieces.
