Scott Dolan
Artist Bio
Scott Dolan's art-making practice is centered around drawing in the way that the practice of meditation is centered around breathing. His
work often deals with simple relationships that can suggest complex
ones, with recurring subtexts of water. Scott's work has been
exhibited nationally, and highlights include his long-time association
with Conduit Magazine--a journal of poetry and culture, and with the
Speedboat Gallery in St. Paul, Minnesota. Scott's mini-comics played
a prominant role in the feature film Love My Guts (2000), and in
publicity for the film.
Scott Dolan received his BA from St. Olaf College, and MFA from the
University of Iowa. He currently lives, works and otherwise lingers in
various parts of Brooklyn.
